3 other ways to use pizza dough

Pizza is one of the most popular dishes around the world and it is very easy to make at home. When you want the easiest way to make pizza, you just need pizza dough, pizza sauce and your favorite toppings. But there are more ways to use your pizza dough. We listed 4 recipes with pizza dough. Garlic bread

Garlic bread is very easy to make and you only need a few ingredients. You’ll need:

  • 3-4 cloves of garlic

  • Half a cup of butter

  • 1 (pizza) dough ball

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley


Preheat your oven at 180°C (350°F). Melt the butter and mince your garlic. Combine the butter and garlic in a small bowl. Get your dough ball and divide it into smaller pieces. Then brush the garlic butter over the dough pieces and sprinkle with parsley. Finally, place on a baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 2 minutes or until golden brown. It’s best to serve the garlic bread warm!

Bread sticks

Bread sticks are a delicious type of snack and you can use a lot of different toppings. You can use ready-to-go dough balls or make your own dough. The standard toppings are:

  • Salt

  • Dried rosemary

  • Dried thyme

  • Grated parmesan

  • Garlic powder

  • Olive oil

  • Optional: pepperoni, tomato slices, (caramelized) onions, basil, etc.


Preheat your oven at 200°C (400°F). Roll or pull out your dough ball to the desired size and shape. Grease your baking sheet and place the dough on it.  Brush the strips of dough with olive oil. Decorate with the toppings of your choice (except parmesan cheese) and cut into strips. Make sure you don’t stack your toppings too thick or the dough won’t be able to cook thoroughly. Bake the bread sticks for 10 minutes, then add the parmesan cheese. Continue to bake the bread sticks and check every 5 minutes until they are golden brown and the cheese is sizzling. Enjoy!

Pizza pockets

Last but not least: pizza pockets! Split the dough into little pieces and roll them out. Put your favorite pizza sauce and topping on one half of the pieces and place the empty pieces on top of them. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with some herbs. Place in an oven at 180°C for 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Easy and delicious!
